Backend/Middleware Developer (C# / .NET)

Role

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced systems developer specialising in middleware and backend, with a strong focus on C# and .NET. The assignment involves developing, implementing and modernising backend and middleware solutions based on given requirements and technical design.

Responsibilities

You will work on new development and continued development of existing systems, technical maintenance, unit and integration testing, and troubleshooting and problem solving in complex system environments. You will collaborate closely with developers, architects, testers and other team members to ensure sustainable, well-functioning technical solutions.

Mandatory requirements

• At least 7 years of total experience in backend development with C#
• At least 2 years of experience with .NET 6 or later
• At least 1 year of experience developing microservices in a cloud environment, such as Azure, GCP or AWS
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in assignments or projects
• At least 1 year of experience with containerisation using Docker or equivalent technology in assignments or projects
• At least 2 years of experience in development work with relational databases
• At least 2 years of experience developing REST services
• At least 1 year of experience configuring Helm charts in assignments or projects

Desirable requirements

• More than 7 years of total experience in backend development with C#
• More than 2 years of experience with Kubernetes in assignments or projects
• At least 2 years of experience developing microservices for Google Cloud
• At least 1 year of experience with Zero Trust architecture, including least privilege, strong identity for services and workloads, and secure secrets management
• At least 2 years of experience with .NET 8 or later
• At least 1 year of experience configuring umbrella Helm charts in assignments or projects
• At least 1 year of experience with Kafka
• At least 1 year of experience with Google BigQuery
• At least 1 year of experience with GitHub Workflows
• At least 2 years of experience with unit testing using NUnit or a comparable framework
• Experience with PostgreSQL in assignments or projects
